Purpose of the Role

We’re looking for a highly motivated team player to join a growing digital team. Focussed on leading User Experience, Research, SEO, Design, Analytics and CRO, you’ll work collaboratively to support the long term digital vision for Harveys Furniture and Bensons for Beds.

Key responsibilities

  • Lead the UX Design and user Research Programme to deliver an industry leading web and mobile experience through a re-platform project.
  • Support the ongoing optimisation and conversion rate improvement of the current web experiences through use of data, best practice and existing research.
  • Act as business lead for the web re-platform project working with the business change team to help ensure that we build a world class Ecommerce and Omnichannel proposition
  • As part of the digital leadership team, work with the trading managers and the chief digital and information officer to set strategy, support the ongoing operation, help lead and manage the digital function through a period of exciting change and transformation.
  • Support the omnichannel retail experience by informing user experience design and making recommendations on in store technology and best in class customer experience.
  • Build a long term CRO strategy, influenced by the trading teams to grow conversion rate and footfall to store metrics.

Secondary responsibilities

  • Support the Bensons and Harveys trading team’s implementation of effective technical SEO capability.
  • Work with the trading teams alongside Google, internal stakeholders and other agencies to help build an omnichannel marketing, focussed on profitability online and driving footfall to store.
  • Work with the analytics team to help promote a data informed business culture through development of the digital insight function, effective at defining and communicating quality information to a broad set of recipients.

Personal Specification

  • An experienced, committed, dedicated and strategic professional, used to working at a senior level and able to manage and communicate with colleagues and stakeholders at all levels.
  • A proven track record of building quality digital experiences is essential, understanding the needs of customer and informed by data.
  • Display sound judgment to make business decision and escalate issues when appropriate.
  • Great communicator, capable of presenting and working alongside both junior and senior business stakeholders.
  • Experience in retail, ideally multichannel is desirable.
  • Experience of Google Analytics, VWO, or similar technologies is desirable.
