Job Description

Job Purpose:

To support the Branch Merchandiser in the completion of all tasks relating to the running of the department.

Key Responsibilities and Accountabilities:

  • Maintain accurate records as needed working with the merchandising and supply chain assistants e.g. new stores, re fits, space changes, new ranges - updating Branch Merchandiser of any ammendments
  • To support the Branch Merchandiser in the production of the analytical information required to assist with store decisions for strategy meetings and range reviews
  • Resolving retail administration emails and telephone enquires working with merchandising and supply chain assistants where required
  • Updating monthly/quarter/year to date branch reports sales, space, transactions, footfall, density, conversion, ATV – highlighting Branch Merchandiser of any inaccuracy’s
  • Working with Branch Merchandiser to prepare for weekly trade meetings
  • Support Branch Merchandiser with adhoc store demographic and product analysis
  • Analysing new range roll outs and what the findings are
  • Regular store visits with regional managers – summarising key points for Branch Merchandiser
  • Support Branch Merchandiser in the handling of clearance stock within retail
  • Regular meetings and competitor store visits with merchandising and buying assistants - summarising key points for Branch Merchandiser
  • Support Branch Merchandiser with store grading/ranging taking into consideration exception stores - large, medium, small space stores

Retail / VM

  • Work with the Retail team to understand regional / store strengths
  • Oversee timely delivery of stock to stores to meet launch and promotional timelines
  • Be a point of contact for retail enquires
  • Support VM with adhoc analysis where need be

Customers (Merchandising & Supply Chain roles):

  • Engage all external & internal customers by communicating in a friendly & professional manner ensuring that they are left with a lasting positive impression of the department
  • Ensure that any internal/external customer queries or concerns are dealt with in a professional, friendly & courteous manner, following the relevant company guidelines
  • Support an environment and culture within Harveys where the Customer is firmly at the centre of everything that we do

General (Merchandising & Supply Chain roles):

  • To participate as an effective and willing team member to achieve individual & team goals
